High Chartat, also known as Hy Shaltat or High Schultat, is the Royal Guard Commander for the conqueror Marder. The OVA *Crest of Iron* presents an alternate background. Here, High Chartat is depicted as one of Mardoul's children, alongside Jordy and Churull, suggesting possible sibling ties. Despite this changed relationship, his aggressive nature in battle persists. During the campaign against the Bird People, his relentless and brutal tactics inflict significant casualties, prompting Jordy to confront him.
