Description
Satomi Hakase, nicknamed "Professor", attends Mahora Academy Class 3-A as the resident robotics expert and one of its most intelligent students alongside Chao Lingshen. She has black hair typically in twin braids with red ribbons, brown or green eyes, stands 145 cm (4'9") tall, and often wears glasses and an engineering lab coat over her school uniform.

Her background features extensive collaboration with Chao Lingshen, co-creating the android Chachamaru Karakuri using advanced technology and magic. This earned her a "mad scientist" reputation among classmates due to her intense focus on inventions, occasional lack of common sense, and willingness to test devices on peers like Ku Fei. She is a member of Mahora University's Robotics and Jet Propulsion Society, frequently using its resources.

During the Mahora Festival, Satomi assisted Chao's plan to reveal magic, preparing the Forced Recognition Magic spell while showing hesitation before activation. After Chao's defeat, the spell altered to temporarily remove global hatred. Following Chao's departure, Satomi assumed full maintenance and upgrade responsibility for Chachamaru. She scientifically verified Chachamaru's development of human emotions, leading her to enhance the android's body with realistic human-like skin and softer features.

In later Magic World conflicts, Satomi provided technological support to Negi Springfield's group. Her foundational theories on integrating science with magic proved instrumental in large-scale projects like terraforming and orbital elevator construction. Despite relying on magical components in inventions like Chachamaru, she maintains a documented dislike of phenomena lacking scientific explanation.

Her abilities center on technological innovation and analysis, demonstrating genius-level intellect in robotics, logical deduction, and observational skills, notably identifying emotional development in artificial constructs. While not explicitly depicted using magic, her work requires understanding magical principles for magitek applications.

In non-canonical appearances like the Negima!? alternate retelling, Satomi was transformed into an axolotl during the "Suka incident". She also appeared in omake segments, collaborating with Chao on inventions like the "Super Power Hand" and modifying the Baka Rangers into cyborg forms resembling their animal transformations.

Her epilogue notes contributions to global infrastructure through science-magic integration theories and marriage to an unspecified governor.
