Ruquia is an energetic and common girl who enrolled in the Magic Academy after a childhood encounter with a Great Sage who rescued her. The rigorous academic demands of magical studies, however, proved far more challenging than she had anticipated. She is the least proficient student in her class, a standing attributed to her strong preference for physical education over subjects that require intensive brainwork. Her academic performance is a key factor in her class's overall low ranking.

Her defining characteristics are an unshakable optimism and high stamina, though these are often paired with a noted tendency for simple-minded and ditzy behavior. A significant and documented issue is her frequent tardiness; she holds the record for the highest number of late arrivals in her homeroom, even surpassing her classmate Leon, and has multiple instances of complete absence.

Within the central group of four students, Ruquia acts as a distaff counterpart to Leon and serves as the Red Oni to the Blue Oni pair formed by Serious and Shalon. Despite her academic shortcomings, she is compassionate and well-meaning, often participating in group efforts to improve the class standing, such as preparing for the Interclass Group Magic Battle.

During a critical school exhibition, her involvement inadvertently contributed to a malfunction that caused the academy's floating island to crash. The crash landing broke a demonic seal. She subsequently joined her classmates in a venture into a dangerous forest to locate a missing piece of the broken gravity generator, aiding the effort to return the academy to the sky and reseal the released demons.
