Description
Gekka Midarezaki, a jellyfish with extraordinary capabilities beyond her species, wields the power to craft written letters, shift her body’s hues to mirror emotions, and summon lightning as both defense and offense. Her true essence transcends mortal understanding—she is the ageless goddess of Ocean, a planet engulfed entirely by water. Alone in her realm, she birthed a fluid, sentient species from her own essence to populate its depths. Her solitude fractured when Gouyokuou, an alien sovereign from a distant world, demanded her hand in marriage. Declining his initial proposal, she deferred her final answer for a millennium, fleeing Ocean to evade his pursuit.

Composed yet enigmatic, Gekka cloaks her divine nature, adopting a mortal guise to live discreetly among others. She conserves her magic, intervening only when necessity compels her—erasing memories to safeguard her secrecy. Her affection for her newfound family anchors her to this veiled existence, their bonds a treasure she shields fiercely from disruption.

Rarely, she manifests as a woman with obsidian hair, draped in Heian-era silks adorned with a crescent emblem. In this visage, she descends upon wayward kin stranded on deserted isles, chiding them gently before guiding them home and dissolving all recollection of her divine intervention. This transient form emerges first in the sixth episode, a fleeting reminder of the celestial power hidden beneath her tranquil facade.
