TV Special
Description
Chatot is the male head of intelligence and second-in-command at Wigglytuff's Guild, directly assisting Guildmaster Wigglytuff. He maintains a long-standing friendship with Wigglytuff and ranks as the guild's second-strongest member in combat. His duties involve assigning exploration missions to members and leading the guild during Wigglytuff's incapacitation, such as sleep. He enforces strict discipline, imposing punishments like withholding dinner for mission failures without hearing explanations. Despite his stern demeanor, he shows underlying concern for guild members, though he often justifies actions as being for the guild's collective good.

His personality is hotheaded and somewhat erratic, though less so than Wigglytuff. He exhibits paranoia, particularly about Wigglytuff's potential anger, leading him to sleep at the guild's exit ladder to prevent desertions. Initially deceived by Dusknoir, he respects him and requires substantial evidence to accept the protagonist team's account of future events. His loyalty is evident during the Brine Cave mission. After Team Skull steals the protagonist's Relic Fragment, he pursues them. Upon finding the wounded Team Skull, he reprimands them before rejoining the protagonists. He then intercepts an attack from Kabutops and Omastar to protect them, mirroring how he once shielded Wigglytuff. This injury forces his return to the guild for treatment.

Later, during the protagonist team's graduation exam in Mystifying Forest, he participates as a "minion" of the "grand master of all things bad," testing their skills. Even after the team uncovers the exam's ruse, he and other guild members persistently deny the deception. After the main storyline, he advises the protagonist team on caring for the water-type Pokémon Manaphy, whom they adopt. Recognizing Manaphy's illness stems from an unsuitable environment, he facilitates its relocation to the sea under Walrein's care, ensuring it thrives in its natural habitat.

In *Super Mystery Dungeon*, his involvement requires prior connection with Bidoof and Loudred. His quest involves helping the player locate a lost Wigglytuff within a dungeon. After Wigglytuff's rescue, both he and Wigglytuff establish a connection with the player, becoming selectable team members.
