Yūga Ohta, a college student with a hustler mentality, thrives on the pursuit of money, excitement, and intellectual challenges. Entering the SCM game alongside his partner Shinnosuke Tachikawa, he exploits the system to manipulate rivals through calculated duels. His strategy centers on assembling SCM users, outsmarting them in mental battles, and enslaving them, frequently collaborating with accomplice Eia Arakawa.

His momentum halts when Ryuuou Edogawa outmaneuvers him, resulting in temporary enslavement. Under Ryuuou’s command, he duels an anonymous SCM user—later revealed as Eia in disguise—leading to his defeat and transfer of ownership to her. Eia’s perceptive acumen and strategic prowess dismantle his dominance, upending his position within the SCM hierarchy.

Manipulation defines his past; he once posed as the ex-boyfriend of Eia’s friend, fabricating homosexuality to end the relationship.
