TV-Series
Description
Mucardia, an agent of the Eternal organization, adopts the human alias Kyosuke Momoi to infiltrate and spy on the Pretty Cure team. His disguise presents an exceptionally handsome, charming young man with long pale blonde hair, grayish skin, and vivid pink eyes. He favors refined attire—such as a magenta suit with an orange shirt or maroon clothing with a purple scarf—and layers multiple necklaces. This persona first emerges during a summer trip, where he approaches Cure Rouge (Rin Natsuki) and Cure Aqua (Karen Minazuki) under the guise of being lost, then evaluates their skills and teamwork through a tennis match.
His true form is a humanoid centipede villain with pink skin, solid green eyes, elongated sharp nails, and a red antenna. In combat, he dons a red bodysuit covered in retractable blue spike weapons. Later appearances amplify his centipede traits, including a fully transformed lower body upon resurrection, starkly contrasting his polished human facade.
Personality-wise, Mucardia crafts a sophisticated, polite, gentlemanly veneer—especially toward Cure Rouge—masking a cunning, manipulative, and ambitious core. He remains calm during missions but turns volatile when plans unravel or his authority faces defiance. His primary drive is ascending Eternal's ranks by replacing his superior Anacondy as second-in-command. This ambition fuels his dismissal of loyalty, viewing compassion as weakness and prioritizing personal gain above all else.
Recruited by Anacondy after prior agents failed, Mucardia uses the Kyosuke alias to secure the Rose Pact and defeat Pretty Cure. His reconnaissance includes observing team dynamics, shrinking the Cures via magic, and isolating members—particularly targeting Cure Rouge for intelligence. Fellow agent Bunbee accidentally exposes his Eternal ties during a confrontation, unmasking his dual identity.
Post-revelation, Mucardia escalates hostilities through elaborate deceptions, like hosting the rigged game show "Pretty Cure Five de Chance" as "Mr. Magic." He steals Flora’s confidential letter to Eternal’s leader, intending to discredit Anacondy and restore the fairy Syrup’s memories for leverage. This betrayal prompts Anacondy to sabotage him mid-battle, leaving him vulnerable to Pretty Cure.
His ambition peaks when appealing directly to Eternal’s leader to supplant Anacondy, but the organization deems him expendable, erasing him permanently. This elimination catalyzes Bunbee’s redemption. Mucardia later resurfaces in *Precure All Stars DX2: Light of Hope – Protect the Rainbow Jewel!*, resurrected by Bottom alongside other villains. Revived, he exhibits heightened aggression and a more monstrous centipede form, joining coordinated assaults against multiple Pretty Cure teams before final defeat.
Abilities encompass expert strategy, illusion magic for conjuring objects (microphones, chairs, roses), levitation, and commanding Kowaina monsters. Combat-wise, he launches ranged attacks with blue spikes and erects barriers strong enough to withstand Pretty Cure 5’s "Rainbow Rose Explosion." The name "Mucardia" stems from the Japanese "mukade" (centipede), mirroring his monstrous nature.
