Description
Neko-chi is a gray feline cheer mascot affiliated with Pretty Top, serving as the dedicated coach and companion to Mion Takamine. This character possesses pale lilac markings around the eyes, stomach, paws, and feet, complemented by pale pink eyes and inner ears. A white muzzle and simple pink nose complete the facial features, while a distinctive pink bowtie with a green heart-shaped gem is consistently worn. Purple markings under one paw spell "PS," and a heart shape appears under the other.

Initially exhibiting a cynical and arrogant personality mirroring Mion's early demeanor, Neko-chi often treats other mascots like Rabbit-chi with condescension. Early behaviors include complaining about environmental discomforts such as humidity and dismissing new Prism Stars as unworthy rivals. The mascot frequently boasts about Mion's superiority and inadvertently reveals private details about her, causing embarrassment.

A developmental arc occurs as Neko-chi gradually recognizes the value of friendship. Underlying the initial arrogance is deep-seated concern for Mion's tendency to shoulder burdens alone, which catalyzes a shift toward greater approachability, though a characteristically sassy demeanor persists. Innate feline traits remain prominent, including an irresistible attraction to fluffy objects that often overrides self-control and prompts playful interactions.

Functionally, Neko-chi provides both practical training guidance and emotional support to Mion, designing and supervising exercises aimed at improving her Prism Show abilities while offering advice on skill refinement. Relationships extend beyond the primary partnership to include fellow mascots Rabichi and Bearchi, as well as Prism Stars Aira Harune and Rizumu Amamiya, identified as friends. The name "Neko-chi" derives linguistically from "neko" (猫), meaning cat, and "chi" (チ), likely abbreviating "cheer" (チア), reflecting the mascot's role.
