Description
Sigurð Sveinnsson Svarthæð is a Nótt Álfur prince from the kingdom of Svarthæð. He stands tall at 1.83 meters, possessing gray hair and brown skin characteristic of his race, and sports a noticeable scar on his nose. His appearance is typically untidy, often featuring an unbuttoned school uniform without a shirt underneath.

Personality-wise, Sigurð is hot-headed, impulsive, and free-spirited. He is notorious for engaging in brawls, peeping on women—particularly those with large breasts—and indulging in drinking and revelry. Despite his womanizing tendencies, he experiences genuine love at first sight upon encountering Princess Astarotte, whom he affectionately calls Rotte. This attachment persists even though she doesn't align with his usual preferences, leading him to regard Naoya Tohara, a human male close to Astarotte, as his rival.

As the second son of King Sveinn, his siblings include his elder brother Rúrik, elder sister Helga, and younger half-sister Críe. Trained as a soldier from a young age, his soldier's training went unused during peacetime established by his father. Subsequently sent abroad for studies, he became an exchange student at Ygvarland's royal academy to strengthen diplomatic relations. His impulsive behavior abroad necessitates constant supervision by his assigned guard, Dóra, and his sister Helga.

His story sees him traveling abroad after initial rejection by Astarotte, encountering various women, and nearly forming a romantic attachment prevented only by Dóra's intervention. Upon returning, he duels Naoya to resolve lingering feelings, acknowledging Naoya's capabilities after their inconclusive fight and a subsequent confrontation with thieves. Later, when Rúrik stages a coup by poisoning their father and targeting Mercelída's regime, Sigurð is entrusted with military command by the prepared king. He successfully thwarts the coup, demonstrating unexpected leadership competence. However, he relinquishes his temporary leadership role immediately upon learning of his father's survival, rejecting any permanent position as Svarthæð's ruler despite his father's trust.

His relationships include a caring, albeit oblivious, dynamic with Dóra, who harbors unreciprocated feelings for him. He later gifted her an eyepatch after an injury he caused, which she continues wearing as a treasured item. His rivalry with Naoya evolves into mutual respect. King Sveinn favors Sigurð over the more mature Rúrik, trusting Sigurð's capabilities enough to designate him as a successor in times of crisis. His bond with Astarotte remains one-sided, marked by impulsive declarations and actions, including sneaking into her school to confess and attempting to spirit her away one night before being intercepted by Naoya.
