Description
Elíka Drakul Draupnils is a Vampíra, an ancient race of Álfheimr, and the daughter of Count Hákon Drakul Draupnils IV, a powerful ally of the Kingdom of Ygvar. Her name, officially written "Elíka" with an acute accent, is suggested to be a mistransliteration; the Nordic-themed series likely intended "Erika," derived from Old Norse "Æiríkr," with the "l" resulting from Japanese pronunciation nuances. She appears as a young teenager with blonde hair styled in pigtails featuring a distinctive spiral lock, possessing the characteristic pointy ears of Álfheimr dwellers. Her attire varies, though she frequently wears a school uniform.

As Astarotte Ygvar's oldest and initially only friend before Asuha Tohara's arrival, Elíka's relationship with Astarotte is defined by constant rivalry fueled by personality differences, their age gap, and Elíka's aristocratic pride. Despite frequent bickering over trivial matters, she remains deeply concerned for Astarotte's well-being and actively looks out for her. This protective instinct extends to Asuha, with whom she develops a positive rapport after their initial interaction. Elíka's personality combines dignified nobility with moments of impulsiveness, especially concerning Astarotte. She strives to maintain superiority in their rivalry but often finds herself outmaneuvered. She exhibits prudishness, becoming easily flustered by provocative scenarios or misunderstandings. While caring for her friends, her noble heritage fosters a strong sense of pride, leading her to deny her compassionate actions—a moderately tsundere trait.

A lifelong acquaintance of Astarotte, Elíka is initially skeptical upon learning Astarotte has started a harem, doubting her readiness as Elíka herself had not yet transitioned from tomato juice to blood consumption, a sign of Vampíra adulthood. To verify Astarotte's claims, Elíka orchestrates a situation forcing Astarotte and Naoya to share a bed, intending to spy. Asuha's presence during this incident leads Elíka to mistakenly believe a threesome is occurring, causing her to flee. She later accompanies Asuha to an amusement park, learning the truth about Asuha being Naoya's daughter.

Elíka assists Astarotte in navigating her feelings for Naoya, advising her to publicly claim him to deter other suitors. She participates in Naoya's rescue when kidnapped by the Marla deity cult; during this event, she and Míst are profoundly affected by witnessing Naoya's anatomy, leaving Elíka unable to view sausages without association afterward, heightening her awareness of him. At school, Elíka, Astarotte, and Míst are selected as models for new uniforms. During preparations, Elíka and Astarotte bicker about underwear choices, though their argument subsides in the face of Míst's more developed physique.

A pivotal moment occurs when Elíka, weakened by a cold, collapses during exercise. Naoya transports her to the infirmary, where, in a fever-induced delirium, she bites and drinks his blood—marking her first experience consuming blood directly from a person. This act creates an aversion to other blood sources for the remainder of the day and sparks an infatuation with Naoya's blood. Within Vampíra culture, direct blood consumption from another person is equivalent to a marital vow. Her father, Count Hákon, upon discovering this, attempts to force Naoya into marrying Elíka. Astarotte intervenes, and the Count reluctantly accepts the incident as a mistake. While already attracted to Naoya, the blood incident intensifies her feelings.

Despite her focus on Naoya, Elíka's romantic trajectory shifts unexpectedly. She and Leo Sveinnsson Svarthæð develop a bond characterized by a sister-like dynamic. This relationship culminates in Elíka announcing her romantic feelings for Leo and their formal engagement, surprising those around her.
