Description
In "One Piece 3D: Mugiwara Chase," Usopp joins the Straw Hat crew's search for Luffy's missing straw hat. He spearheads the pursuit alongside Chopper in the Shark Submerge III submersible. Exploring a seemingly deserted ship, they discover Schneider, an ill pirate, and bring him aboard the Thousand Sunny for treatment, showcasing Usopp's readiness to assist strangers despite pressing crew objectives.

Usopp soon spots Luffy's hat carried by a giant bird, alerting the crew and reigniting the chase. He remains actively involved through subsequent challenges: navigating glacial formations, evading Marine blockades, traversing caves, surviving waterfall descents, and confronting Sea Kings. Following Franky's orders, Usopp regroups on the Thousand Sunny when required.

His technical skills and medical knowledge aid Schneider's recovery, later confirmed by Chopper to result from accidentally swallowing a fork. After retrieving the hat and resolving the Marine conflict, Usopp helps return Schneider and his companion Buzz to their ship.

The film depicts Usopp utilizing his signature sniper goggles, affirming his role as the crew's marksman. His interactions reflect characteristic cautiousness blended with loyalty, evident during collaborative efforts against environmental and military threats. Physically, he maintains his pre-timeskip design: slim build, prominent long nose, bandanna, wristband, and goggles.

Originating from Syrup Village in the East Blue, Usopp was born to pirate Yasopp (of Shanks' crew) and Banchina. Following his father's departure and mother's death in childhood, he coped by fabricating stories of pirate invasions, forming the "Usopp Pirates" with village children, and entertaining his ailing friend Kaya. His lies began to sustain his mother during her illness, persisting as a coping mechanism afterward.

Joining the Straw Hat Pirates after thwarting Captain Kuro's plot against Kaya, he disbanded his pretend crew and became the sniper aboard Kaya's gifted ship, the Going Merry. Key developments include temporarily leaving the crew during the Water 7 Arc over conflicts concerning the irreparable Going Merry, later adopting the "Sogeking" persona to secretly aid Nico Robin's rescue at Enies Lobby. He gained a 30,000,000 berry bounty under the Sogeking identity after Enies Lobby. Training for two years on the Boin Archipelago resulted in increased musculature and plant-based "Pop Green" ammunition for his slingshot. Usopp earned the epithet "God" Usopp and a 200,000,000 berry bounty after freeing Dressrosa citizens from slavery, where he awakened Observation Haki to perceive distant auras. His current bounty stands at 500,000,000 berries following the Wano Country Arc.

Usopp dreams of becoming a "brave warrior of the sea." His combat style combines precision sniping with psychological tactics and inventive weaponry, including specialized ammunition like explosive pellets and botanical projectiles. Despite frequent displays of cowardice, he consistently confronts threats to protect comrades or civilians, as seen against antagonists like Chew and Perona. His technical ingenuity produced inventions like Nami's Clima-Tact, and he contributed artistic designs, including the Straw Hat jolly roger.
