Description
Nao Takanashi, unaware for years she was adopted by the Takanashi family after her biological parents died in a car accident a decade prior, survived the crash with minor injuries but suffered memory loss. Her older brother, Shūsuke Takanashi, convinced his parents to adopt her, pledging to become her brother and protector. This secret remained until Nao discovered childhood photos without her, revealing her adoption.

Physically, Nao has orange hair cut in a short bob with bangs and an ahoge, light brown eyes, and a slender build. She wears a school uniform featuring a sailor-style blouse, violet bowtie, brown sweater vest (later a cropped blazer in the manga), dark blue pleated skirt, black knee-high socks, and brown loafers. Her short skirts frequently expose her underwear, typically white-and-pink or white-and-blue striped shimapan. Her fashion deliberately incorporates elements like knee-high socks and pantyhose to attract Shūsuke, catering to his fetishes.

Nao's defining trait is her obsessive love for Shūsuke, expressed through exhaustive knowledge of his habits and preferences. Before learning they weren't blood-related, she desired an incestuous relationship, teasing him by bending over to expose her underwear, leaving used socks for him, or placing her bra on his face while he slept. Discovering her adopted status shifted her focus to pursuing a conventional romantic relationship, relieved societal taboos no longer applied. She actively sabotages his non-incest pornography and monitors his interactions with other girls, particularly his childhood friend Iroha Tsuchiura and classmate Mayuka Kondō.

When dealing with rivals, she strategically partners with them when useful—like temporarily cooperating with Iroha against Mayuka—but primarily views them as obstacles. She maintains a diary documenting Shūsuke's "perverted habits," a consistent trait. Her jealousy and possessiveness drive most actions, though she occasionally exhibits tsundere-like denial, feigning disinterest after excessive teasing.

Across all official media—the manga, 12-episode anime series, and OVA special—Nao's core motivations and behaviors remain consistent. The OVA reinforces her role through a retrospective review of Shūsuke's habits, aligning with her established pattern of surveillance and obsession. Her fixation on Shūsuke persists without significant long-term development or resolution.
