Description
Porun, also called Pollun, is the prince of the Garden of Light. Sent to Earth after the Evil King's resurgence, the Queen stated his powers would assist Pretty Cure. During Wisdom's peril, the power of the Rainbow Stones transferred to Porun without his knowledge. This granted him the ability to maintain his regular form and communicate directly with individuals from the Garden of Light. For such communication, he transforms into a miniature computer-like device, enabling open auditory exchange among all parties. He also provided Pretty Cure with the power of light, manifesting as Rainbow Bracelets.
Porun displays selfishness and prioritizes his own interests. His demeanor is energetic and childish, often causing annoyance in others like Mepple. He frequently ends sentences with "popo".
In "Precure All-Stars DX3: Mirai ni Todoke! Sekai wo Tsunagu☆Niji-Iro no Hana", Porun is among the mascots gathered when multiple fairy worlds merge with Earth. Lord Black Hole, an amalgamation of past villains, instigates a crisis, weakening the Prism Flower connecting all fairy worlds to Earth. As destruction spreads, the mascots, including Porun, remain on Earth after the Pretty Cure teams are transported away. They face direct threats from Shadow, who stays to locate the weakening Prism Flower. The mascots use quick thinking, employing mirror shards to reflect Miracle Lights, temporarily blinding Shadow and forcing his retreat.
The weakening Prism Flower posed a dire consequence: its complete disappearance would sever the connection between Earth and the fairy worlds, requiring all mascots to return permanently. Porun and the others expressed distress over this potential separation. When Lord Black Hole arrived and began absorbing the Prism Flower, the mascots learned they could restore the Cures' transformation abilities by absorbing the flower's remnants—at the cost of their own ability to stay on Earth. Despite the emotional weight, including Porun’s visible sadness and reluctance, the mascots agreed to this sacrifice as part of the collective effort to save Earth.
Following Lord Black Hole's defeat and the Prism Flower's restoration through a new bloom at the Tree of Hearts, the passage between worlds was preserved. This allowed Porun and the other mascots to continue traveling between Earth and their home worlds. Due to his unique origins and role, Porun was exempt from the initial separation mandate affecting most interdimensional beings during the Prism Flower's weakening, enabling him to remain on Earth alongside other non-fairy warriors like Hikari and Setsuna.
