TV-Series
Description
Armand Jeremiah hails from a wealthy family prominent in the shipbuilding industry. He served alongside Hugh Anthony Disward at the same Royal Air Force base during World War I. Hugh held a higher rank and frequently assisted Armand there, establishing a lasting dynamic. Despite Hugh's requests, Armand persistently addresses him as "Lieutenant."

Physically, Armand is a short young man, approximately 18-19 years old, with a youthful appearance. He possesses light brown, slightly curly hair resembling a "fluffy chick" and violet eyes. His attire consistently reflects his affluent background: a yellowish-brown suit, dark brown shoes, a white shirt, and a blue bow tie. He sometimes adds brown gloves and a newsboy cap.

Armand exhibits a dramatic, helpless, and romantic personality. He frequently becomes entangled in problematic situations involving women and Phantom Books, often requiring Hugh's intervention for resolution. His romantic pursuits are intense and theatrical, featuring grand declarations of love and emotional vulnerability. This tendency leads to recurring misfortunes in his relationships, typically influenced or complicated by Phantom Books. He struggles to respond to Dalian's blunt remarks and envies Hugh's ability to manage their relationship.

In "The Magician's Daughter" storyline, Armand seeks a Phantom Book from Hugh's grandfather's collection to impress Viola Duplessis, a courtesan who promised marriage to whoever procured five specific Phantom Books. Discovering the Book of the Salamander's Seal in the Disward estate's basement, he helps defend Viola from the magician Melgar. During the confrontation, Armand learns Viola is an artificial creation but affirms his genuine feelings for her. He temporarily wields the real Book of the Salamander's Seal to aid in Melgar's defeat. Despite this act, Viola rejects him for another suitor, leaving Armand devastated.

Later, in the "Book of Relationship" arc, Armand visits Hugh and Dalian, announcing his engagement to Lianna Scholes. He met Lianna through a Phantom Book that supposedly destined them as a couple. Dalian confirms the book's authenticity, noting Armand's unlikely success in attracting such a partner otherwise. Hugh and Dalian secretly observe Armand meeting Lianna at an opera house, where Dalian exposes his past romantic misadventures, causing him visible distress. Subsequent events show him fleeing from pursuing civilians, indicating further relationship complications.

Armand's character functions primarily as a recurring comedic figure whose romantic misadventures and dependence on Hugh drive episodic plots. His role remains consistent across appearances, with no significant long-term development documented.
