Bouleuse Gotho is a salvager and arms dealer operating on Melkia during the Woodo arc. He first encounters Chirico Cuvie there, forging a business relationship that evolves into a significant alliance. Despite lacking formal military training, his extensive familiarity with weapons and combat scenarios allows him to function effectively in dangerous situations, often placing him directly in conflicts alongside Chirico.

His physical appearance includes being overweight and having facial hair. He is frequently depicted smoking a pipe, contributing to his recognizable visual identity. Within the group dynamic involving Chirico, Vanilla Varta, and Coconna, he serves as the "big" component in their trio formation, positioning him as an older, more experienced figure offering practical support and resources during their shared ordeals.

Following the original series and preceding OVAs, Gotho settles on the neutral planet Gluphae. After over 30 years apart, Chirico arrives on Gluphae, leading to an unexpected reunion. This meeting reconnects Gotho with a past companion. However, Chirico's tendency to attract conflict and the ongoing pursuit by entities like the religious sect Allegium and galactic superpowers means their time together is brief. Gotho witnesses Chirico's departure once more.

Later, during the Phantom Arc OVA, Gotho participates in Vanilla Varta's plan. Vanilla, seeking to reconcile with his wife Coconna after marital difficulties, organizes an anniversary trip revisiting locations significant to their past adventures alongside Chirico. Gotho aids in facilitating this journey, demonstrating his ties to the group. Throughout their travels, they reminisce about past hardships and shared history, maintaining hope for another reunion with Chirico.
