TV-Series
Description
Duc, the Hooligan General, rules Asia (excluding Tokyo) as a mazoku card battler. He possesses green hair, orange horns, and a black tail, typically wearing a black and white sleeveless outfit with black gloves. Though he enforces harsh rule over humans, he secretly desires human-mazoku coexistence. He is married to Shima and has multiple children, including his intended successor, Rugain.
He first challenges Dan Bashin for Tokyo but loses due to strategic failure and cedes the territory. After this defeat, he allies with Barone and Zazie to protect the queen. When Dan later meets the queen, Duc volunteers for a rematch, using the Zodiac X-rare card The CancerBushin Cancerd. He loses again, accepts arrest as punishment, and is imprisoned. During incarceration, Zazie and Geraid torture, brainwash, and cybernetically augment him, transforming him into the Prison General Duc. This grants him a specialized squad and a purple-aligned "brave killer" deck designed to counter brave users, centered around The StarSlayerDragon Darkwurm-Nova (an evil counterpart to Dan's The SupernovaDragon Siegwurm-Nova) and the nexus card The DarkSacred Sword. Against non-brave opponents, he uses The SevenShogun Beldegaulle with the nexus to activate immortality effects.
As Prison General, he collects Zodiac X-rares for Zazie. He captures Dan, En, and Fant, defeats Barone in a duel nearly killing him, battles and overpowers his son Rugain while denying their relationship, and later defeats Dan, severely injuring his arm and seizing his collected Zodiac cards. Zazie manipulates Duc into attacking the queen, but he inadvertently kills a transformed Lucretia instead. After losing a rematch against Dan, he disappears. Zazie later reimprisons him, corrupting his memories until only the Zodiac X-rare collection directive remains. Escaping in a core bullet, he encounters Elis and attacks her upon discovering her Virgo Zodiac card. Dan intervenes; during their battle, Duc's memories gradually resurface. Defeated again, Duc survives an explosion but is injured. Mai Shinomiya confiscates his X-rares. He reunites with Shima and Rugain, expressing pride in Rugain's growth, and declares his intent to relinquish leadership to Rugain once the world is secured.
Duc's deck evolved from an initial green alignment, incorporating older cards he deemed effective, to the specialized purple brave killer build. His battle record includes losses to Dan in their first two encounters, victories over Barone, Dan (as Prison General), and Youth, and subsequent defeats by Dan in their final clashes.
