Kenji Hamada is a Japanese voice actor born on April 12, 1972, in Fukuoka Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent agency Mausu Promotion. His interest in animation and film from childhood led him to pursue a career in voice acting. After working various part-time jobs, he moved to Tokyo at the age of twenty-one and enrolled in a vocational school to receive his training. He entered the Ezaki Production affiliated training school in 1996 and has been a member of Mausu Promotion since 1998.
Hamada's early career focused extensively on dubbing foreign television dramas and films, with his anime roles often being minor or background characters. A significant turning point was his role as Patrick Colasour in the 2007 series Mobile Suit Gundam 00, which brought him wider recognition and led to more substantial anime casting. His profile was further elevated by his portrayal of Teppei Kiyoshi, a founding member of the Seirin High basketball team, in the popular series Kuroko's Basketball.
