Description
Enbil is the chief of Lux Village, a human settlement, and also serves as the guild master. He is married to Erica and is the father of Marika, the young woman who becomes the protagonist Dariel’s wife. In the village and the surrounding community, Enbil is a figure of authority and respect, though he carries himself with the approachable demeanor of a good-natured uncle.

Before the events of the story, Enbil led a very different life as an adventurer. His combat ability was specialized, as his aura was only compatible with hit-type attacks, a limitation he compensated for by wielding a hammer in battle. This past as a warrior gives him a practical understanding of strength and leadership. When Dariel, a former soldier from the Demon King’s Army, arrives in Lux Village, Enbil is initially presented to the newcomer simply as Marika’s father. It is a point of gentle humor that Dariel continues to address Enbil only as father for a long period, even after he and Marika are married, and does not learn Enbil’s actual name until much later, during a meal following the reconciliation of two other characters.

A key moment in Enbil’s character development is his reaction to Dariel’s victory in a duel with a character named Fitbitan. Witnessing the younger man’s abilities forces Enbil to honestly assess his own declining capabilities due to age. Demonstrating wisdom and a lack of ego, he makes the decision to step down from his role as village chief, passing the position to Dariel. This act is not one of resignation but of prudent delegation. After relinquishing his chief duties, Enbil chooses to focus his efforts on his other role as the guild master, working as Dariel’s assistant. Under his continued guidance, the guild experiences significant growth, eventually becoming powerful enough to rival the central guild. Looking further into the future, Enbil has already identified Gashita as the person he believes should become the next guild master after his own retirement.

Enbil’s role in the story is thus that of a mentor and a bridge between generations. He is a former adventurer who has transitioned into a leader of a peaceful community but retains the pragmatism and observational skills of his past. His motivations center on the well-being of his village and family, and his development is defined by his acceptance of his limitations and his ability to gracefully cede authority to a younger, more capable individual for the greater good. While he gives up the title of chief, he remains a vital part of the village's infrastructure by nurturing the guild into a more powerful institution. Physically, he is recognizable by his mustache and ponytail, with black hair and eyes.
