Description
Homika is both the Gym Leader of Tachiwaki City in Unova and a musician, leading her band "The Koffings" (later "Koffing and the Toxics") as bass guitarist and vocalist. Confident in Gym battles, she faces challengers wielding three Poison-type Pokémon against their six, integrating her musical passion by playing bass guitar riffs mid-battle. These battles adopt concert-like rules with audiences chanting her name.

Her core team starts with Koffing, caught in Kanto and inspiring her band's name, initiating fights with Gyro Ball, Clear Smog, or Sludge Bomb. Her signature Scolipede often enters second, employing Toxic and Rock Tomb to inflict status. Garbodor rounds out the trio, disrupting foes with Double Slap and Slam before finishing with Hyper Beam or Gunk Shot. Homika's strategy prioritizes early poisoning to maximize Venoshock damage. She remains perceptive, countering challengers' tactics and demonstrating fairness, like offering a Pecha Berry to heal an opponent's poisoned Pokémon.

Outside the Gym, Homika navigates family dynamics with her father, Pop Roxie, the ferry captain between Tachiwaki and Castelia City. They clash over his movie star ambitions while balancing responsibilities, reflecting her own dual career. Her presence extends beyond core games: she assists Blake and Hugh during the Aspertia City Trainers' School Autumn Choir Tournament in the manga and later investigates Team Plasma in Castelia's sewers with Whitley. In *Pokémon Masters EX*, she forms Sync Pairs with Whirlipede (evolving into Scolipede) and Gigantamax-capable Toxtricity, participating in Legendary Adventures. Homika also makes a cameo in the *Genesect and the Legend Awakened* movie credits, and her conceptual model is available for *MikuMikuDance* with distribution restrictions.
