Mamezō, an artifact spirit bonded to Zakuro, manifests as a sandy-colored rabbit with prominent fangs—a distinctive physical presence within the spiritual ecosystem. Initially, he echoed every sound he heard, particularly during Bonbori and Hozuki's early days at the Ministry of Spirit Affairs, but this repetitive speech gradually ceased, signaling evolved communication.

He shares closest ties with Zakuro and Kei Agemaki. When Zakuro refuses assignments with Agemaki, Mamezō becomes the young man’s temporary partner. He often teases Zakuro about her dynamic with Agemaki, mirroring others who jest similarly. Mamezō also holds a longstanding connection to Susukihotaru, collaborating on missions; historically, he aided her in tracking down Zakuro during disappearances. Though acquainted with Bonbori and Hozuki for years, their current interactions remain sparse.

In combat, Mamezō is pivotal: he draws cherry blossom branches from his mouth that transform into knives, serving as Zakuro’s primary weapons against foes—an ability cementing his artifact spirit nature.

Playful and observant, he gravitates toward Zakuro and Agemaki, frequently interjecting with suggestions or lighthearted jabs about their relationship.
