Pom is one of several children—including Loo, Sap, May, and Guy—living on the primitive planet Cronkee, featured in the "Odd One Out" anthology segment. Following SPARTAN-1337's accidental crash-landing on their world, Pom and the group initially express skepticism toward his claims of being a powerful soldier, instead showcasing notable survival skills and resourcefulness within their environment.

When the Covenant dispatches the genetically enhanced Jiralhanae warrior Pluton to eliminate the Spartan, Pom and the others collaborate to counter the threat. They leverage their intimate knowledge of Cronkee and individual capabilities to support SPARTAN-1337 during confrontations with Pluton. Their combined efforts, strategically utilizing technology from their crashed ship like the AI "Momma," play crucial roles. "Momma" deploys the ship's Magnetic Accelerator Cannon, launching Pluton into a Slipspace rupture and neutralizing the danger.

After the conflict concludes, Pom and the children remain on Cronkee as SPARTAN-1337 departs to rejoin UNSC forces.
