Description
Iris Eris, younger sister to Roland's Crown Prince and later King Sion Astal, resides within the royal palace. Sheltered initially from the kingdom's political intricacies, she embodies a cheerful, innocent, and deeply kind nature, driven by a strong desire to support her burdened brother Sion.

Her life intertwines significantly with her bodyguard, the skilled swordswoman Ferris Eris. Iris develops profound affection for Ferris, seeing her as an older sister and confidante. She frequently engages Ferris in playful activities, persistently teasing her about finding a husband, revealing a mischievous streak beneath her gentle exterior. This bond offers Iris companionship and security.

Iris becomes ensnared in escalating political turmoil surrounding the throne. Her status renders her both a target and a potential pawn, culminating in abduction by agents of the neighboring nation Nelpha to pressure Sion. During captivity, she endures severe mistreatment and trauma, leaving deep psychological scars.

Rescued but transformed, Iris exhibits profound psychological distress: withdrawal, silence, intense fearfulness (especially toward men), and overwhelming sadness. Her recovery proves slow and arduous, demanding constant care, primarily from Ferris. This period underscores her fragility and the trauma's lasting impact.

Gradually, through patient support and comforting rituals like Ferris providing dango, Iris begins to heal. She reclaims fragments of her former spirit, though the ordeal leaves enduring marks. As Roland faces ongoing strife, Iris grows increasingly aware of her position and duties. She strives to conquer her fears, participates actively in royal responsibilities, and expresses determination to become a pillar of strength for Sion and the kingdom, signaling her evolution beyond a sheltered existence.
