Description
Enjutsu Kouro, also called Yuan Shu or Miu, rules independently as a noble over Henan. She is Enshō's cousin, displaying an immature, selfish, and manipulative personality. Kouro habitually mocks Enshō behind her back and appends "nano-ja" to her sentences.

Her military endeavors and defeats drive development across storylines. In the Shoku route, she allies with Ryofu and Nene against the Shoku faction; Ryofu's betrayal leads to Kouro's defeat, and the Go faction simultaneously captures her castle. In the Go route, following her independent rule, the Go faction defeats her. Sonsaku spares Kouro upon her surrender, compelling her into vassalage. An anime-exclusive plot shows Kouro swindling Enshō out of Ryūbi's sword by trading it for a non-existent "rare robe visible only to the worthy"—a scam echoing "The Emperor's New Clothes." Shokatsuryō later tricks her into returning the sword for an ordinary mug.

Her assistant Choukun provides significant stabilizing influence throughout media. In the *Moeshouden* visual novel, they meet Kazuto at a restaurant and join his forces, signaling a cooperative shift. In *Shin Koihime † Musou -Kakumei- Son Go no Ketsumyaku*, Kouro faints encountering Sonsaku (believed dead), Chousen, and Himiko. She subsequently travels with them to rescue Choukun, revealing her dependency on her assistant and gradual integration into larger alliances.

Kouro evolves pragmatically. After defeat in *Son Go no Ketsumyaku*, she abandons imperial ambitions, aligns with the Go faction, and focuses on regional stability under their command. This transition from self-serving ruler to compliant vassal underscores her adaptive, though reluctant, growth.
