Description
Viktor, born into nobility, inherited his name from his grandfather and was originally the designated heir. At age five, a powerful witch named Sade cursed him, causing any living thing he touched to die. His mother, Gerbera, disowned him, exiling him to a remote forest estate. Before the curse, he was cheerful and sociable, enjoying friendships, including one with Alice Lendrott, whose mother served as head maid at the main residence.

Years of isolation deepened depression, bitterness, and self-loathing. He developed permanent dark circles and became reclusive, fearing to harm others. His sole companions were the elderly butler Rob Gardner, a father figure, and later Alice, brought by Rob to alleviate his despair. Viktor initially pushed Alice away, distrusting her motives. He battled intense loneliness, writing unsent letters to his family and attempting a self-destructive escape during a snowstorm; Alice intervened, saving him and strengthening their bond.

Alice's arrival shifted Viktor's personality. Retaining inherent kindness, forgiveness, and low self-esteem from his curse, he gradually became less gloomy and more hopeful. Alice's persistent affection and teasing—often provocative—flustered him but drew out his feelings. They acknowledged mutual romantic love early, though his curse prevented touch. A key symbol was the withered white rose she accepted, interpreting its meaning as "to stay together until death" in the language of flowers. Despite insecurity about deserving love, his devotion remained unwavering. He demonstrated protectiveness, using his curse to kill threats like a monstrous plant endangering Alice, and showed familial care toward his younger sister Viola.

His social circle expanded through allies like the witch Cuff and the wizard Zain, aiding his quest to break the curse. Forming friendships improved his social skills and reduced isolation. Viktor displayed multiple talents: a musical prodigy proficient in piano, guitar, violin, and composition, he sold original pieces for income. He excelled in painting and learned skills like golf quickly.

The curse-breaking journey involved confronting its origin. Viktor learned Sade cursed him partly to ensure his future meeting with Alice. He opposed plans to kill Sade in the past, seeking to understand her motives. After the curse lifted, Alice temporarily left, fearing her presence would hinder his reinstatement as heir. Viktor rejected his inheritance, choosing Alice over status. He pursued her, proposed with the preserved withered rose, and they married. They moved into a new home with Rob, starting a life focused on his musical career and marital happiness.

Visually, Viktor has short, curly dark brown hair, often hidden under a disliked top hat. He typically wore tailored suits and gloves, ineffective against the curse. Outside the estate, he donned a plague doctor-like costume with a bird mask and cape for safety.
