Captain Yūra Yoshizawa serves in the Planetary Defense Forces Alliance (PDFA), holding the rank of Captain. She carries the legacy of her father, Commissioner or Area Commander Yoshizawa, who decisively saved Earth during the initial FOS invasion. This heritage casts a long shadow, subjecting her to intense pressure and shaping her into a stern, emotionally reserved commander often called the "Iron Lady."

During the final counteroffensive against the alien FOS, codenamed Plan Zed, Yūra commands from a critical operations center. When the primary weapon, the D-Cannon, fails catastrophically and the FOS threat resurges overwhelmingly, she attempts suicide, convinced that it is "Better to Die than Be Killed." Protagonist Taishi Akejima physically intervenes to prevent her death. Yūra survives the ensuing battle alongside Taishi and his sister Koyomi Akejima.
