Dare Kochak operates within Nol Berkhoff's five-man Armored Trooper pilot squad on Galeade, a unit assembled by Melkian Information Ministry Intelligence Department operatives and featuring Chirico Cuvie, Gary Godan, Glenborash Droka Zaki, and Berkhoff. Kochak deliberately projects an image of incompetence and unreliability in combat, frequently failing to eliminate enemy targets. This consistent underperformance frustrates his squadmates, especially Godan, who confronts him after mission failures, while actually masking his true role.

Kochak serves as a covert operative reporting directly to M7 base commanders Yugunt and Fuller. His assignment to Berkhoff's squad is an infiltration mission to monitor the unit and gather intelligence. His true allegiance is exposed when he reveals knowledge of security operations targeting the squad. Acting on orders from his handlers, he participates in missions designed to eliminate Berkhoff's squad, including facilitating their entrapment in the polymer ringer liquid tank farm where explosives are deployed against them.

After Berkhoff's squad survives the tank farm destruction and following Melkian Information Ministry Undersecretary Fedok Wockam's aide Cotta Ruske's order for a complete Gilgamesh evacuation from Galeade, Kochak assassinates Yugunt and Fuller. He eliminates his commanders precisely when they have outlived their usefulness to the intelligence operation, aligning with the objectives of those manipulating events.

Kochak pilots a customized Scopedog Turbo Custom-ISS during operations, consistent with the specialized Armored Troopers assigned to his squad members. His narrative trajectory concludes within the events of the Pailsen Files OVA.
