Designed explicitly to assassinate Brimir, the original Void Mage, it fulfilled its purpose by piercing Brimir’s heart. As a spirit sword, Derflinger’s consciousness survives physical destruction by transferring to another nearby blade over several weeks, preserving all memories and abilities intact.
Discovered in a Tristain sword shop and sold for 100 gold coins due to its shoddy appearance, Louise de La Vallière purchased it for Saito Hiraga.
