Longueville, whose true name is Matilda de Saxe-Gotha (or Sachsen-Gotha), operates under aliases including Fouquet and "Fouquet the Crumbling Earth." Once part of Albion's high nobility, her family lost their status for unrevealed reasons, though Matilda retained her magical abilities. She later adopted the Longueville identity to serve as secretary to Headmaster Osmond at Tristain Academy of Magic, using the position for intelligence gathering while secretly acting as the thief Fouquet.
As Fouquet, she specialized in stealing magical artifacts from nobles, employing earth magic to transmute walls, doors, or locks into sand and leaving taunting messages.
