Description
Kuroe, known as Warsman, began life as Nikolai Volkov—a Soviet Robo-Chojin rebuilt with experimental cybernetic enhancements by his father. Born into poverty and shunned for his mechanical form, he endured relentless bullying while tending to his ill mother. Her death propelled him into the KGB’s grasp, where brutal training forged him into the weaponized Warsman. After escaping, he adopted the alias Mr. Barracuda under Robin Mask’s mentorship, aiming to crush Kinnikuman in the 21st Choujin Olympics. Defeat by Kinnikuman shattered his ruthlessness, driving him to destroy his Bear Claws and reclaim his humanity.
Warsman’s combat blends retractable iron claws with cold precision, though his robotic systems risk shutdown after 30 minutes of overheating. Notable victories include dismantling Teapackman and Pentagon, while his Steel Cage Casket Death Match against Ramenman ended in the latter’s coma. Allying with Kinnikuman during the Devil Choujin arc, he sacrificed himself battling Buffaloman before resurrection. He repeated this valor in the Golden Mask arc, perishing to enable Kinnikuman’s strike on Planetman, and again fell temporarily against Neptuneman in the Universal Choujin Tag Tournament.
Later, as Chloe, he covertly mentored Kevin Mask during the Chojin Olympics: The Resurrection Arc, rescuing him from brutal training and aiding via time travel in the Ultimate Choujin Tag Tournament. Though trauma initially locked his emotions, cracks emerged—like tears during Geronimo’s sacrifice—revealing his struggle between machine logic and human vulnerability.
His legacy spans resurrections: escaping the Choujin Graveyard in the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc and revival via Dr. Bombay’s Heart Crystal. From Robin Mask’s pupil to Kevin’s guardian, Warsman evolved from a weapon into a protector. The alias Kuroe echoes his enduring influence across eras, yet his core remains anchored to a tragic past and hard-won redemption.
