Description
Lucky Shimoda is a professional wrestler for the Naniwa Women's Wrestling team, recognized as its most skilled member with expertise in grappling and throws. She sports vibrant violet hair and exhibits a flamboyant, attention-seeking persona during matches, often aiming to humiliate opponents.
Her rivalry with Mao Ran begins when Mao visits the Naniwa gym; perceiving her as competition, Shimoda challenges Mao's right to the "Mao Tiger" identity. After a decisive martial arts defeat humiliates her, Shimoda seeks revenge. She leverages her status as reigning female champion to participate in Mao's professional wrestling debut. Before their match, Shimoda grabs the bouquet presented to Mao and smashes it across her head, seizing an early advantage.
During the bout, Shimoda exploits professional wrestling rules that prohibit Mao from using her family's martial arts style. Her experience and prior observation of Mao's training allow her to anticipate and counter Mao's moves. She dominates aggressively, landing an elbow strike to Mao's lower back and applying a forearm choke against the corner post. Shimoda taunts Mao verbally throughout, declaring Mao lacks legitimate wrestling credentials and vowing to use her as a stepping stone for her own glory.
Following her involvement in Mao's early career, Shimoda shifts to a supportive role, cheering for Mao and Megumi Yagi during the Prime Mat martial arts competition.
Lucky Shimoda appears as a playable character in the 2006 PlayStation 2 video game *Fighting Beauty Wulong*, developed by Dream Factory and published by Bandai.
