TV-Series
Description
Edward, also called Edo-chin, emerges as the second season's primary antagonist, driven by external manipulation rather than inherent malice. He possesses gray-blue hair and green eyes, dressing in formal princely attire: a white suit and coat with gold accents, a cape, and a cravat fastened by an emerald brooch. His crown bears three gems—two green flanking a central red stone.

His past centers on a deep emotional bond with Princess Swan. Manipulated by the Black Crystal King, Edward becomes convinced that serving this entity is his only path to reuniting with Swan. This influence twists his personality, making him outwardly cruel and manipulative. He exploits others' vulnerabilities, like Thomas's trauma, to further the Black Crystal King's aims. Before this possession, evidence points to him being a kind and compassionate prince who prioritized others.

Princess Bibin's powers trigger a significant physical transformation, turning Edward into a purple and pink pig-rabbit hybrid creature. He retains his crown throughout this change. His story culminates in sacrifice when he shields Bibin from the Black Crystal King and is consumed by the entity, marked by a comical "chomp" sound. He does not escape when others later flee the entity.

Ultimately, Edward is restored to his original human form and reunited with Princess Swan. They return together to their painting, achieving a peaceful resolution where they "live happily ever after" within that artistic medium. His purification coincides with the Black Crystal Planet transforming into the purified Crystal Planet, freeing him from the entity's influence and enabling his reunion with Swan.
