Naoki Yanagi is a Japanese voice actor born on November 1, 1972, in Tokyo, Japan. His real name is Tomoki Yanagi, which is the name under which he began his career before adopting his current stage name. He has been active in the industry since 1990 and is currently affiliated with the talent agency Artist Crew. In addition to his voice acting work, he is also the head of a production company he founded called FreeMarch.

Throughout his career, Yanagi has been associated with several talent agencies, reflecting his professional journey. He was formerly with Trias Production and has also been affiliated with Mausu Promotion, Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, and Pro-Fit, among others, before joining Artist Crew. His voice is often described as having a transparent and pure quality, leading him to be frequently cast in the roles of beautiful young men or pretty boy characters.

Yanagi has built a substantial body of work across numerous anime television series, original video animations, and video games. One of his notable early leading roles was as Cacao in the 1999 series Trouble Chocolate. He is also well-recognized for his portrayal of the emotionless prince Mythos in the acclaimed 2002 fantasy anime Princess Tutu. Another significant and recurring role is that of Manabu Yuuki in the Leiji Matsumoto universe, appearing in various installments of The Galaxy Railways, including The Galaxy Railways, The Galaxy Railways: Crossroads to Eternity, and the film The Galaxy Railways: A Letter from the Abandoned Planet.

His versatility is further demonstrated by roles such as the warlike Gyro Robo in the mecha series Shutsugeki! Machine Robo Rescue, the ninja Yashamaru in Basilisk, Moses in Blood+, and Renji Hiiragi in Night Wizard The Animation. He also lent his voice to the character Edward, also known as Edochin, in the series Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime Gyu!. His filmography includes supporting roles in popular series like Great Teacher Onizuka as Tadaaki Kusano and in various Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds. Beyond anime, Yanagi has an extensive list of credits in video games, including a recurring role as the character Akimoto in the acclaimed Yakuza series.

In addition to his work in Japanese animation, Yanagi has participated in dubbing foreign productions. Notably, he provided the Japanese voice for the character Edd (Double D) in the animated series Ed, Edd n Eddy.
