Description
Kissu, also known as Kiss, is a Vandel Buster wielding Divine Power. He forged a deep friendship with Beet during their training. After Beet left for advanced training, Kissu joined another Buster group. This group betrayed him during a confrontation with the powerful Vandel Sir Baron, using him as a decoy to escape. Sir Baron killed the fleeing members but spared Kissu for his bravery. This betrayal shattered Kissu's trust in humans, leading him to align with the Vandel Grineed, who enforced his obedience with a poisonous bracelet.

Beet later helped Kissu regain his faith in humanity after defeating Grineed. Kissu then joined the Beet Warriors as their long-range Divine Attacker. Proficient in all five elemental Divine Powers (Fire, Wind, Water, Thunder, Light), he is nonetheless plagued by self-doubt and cowardice, fleeing formidable opponents like Sir Baron multiple times. In combat, he launches deceptive light arrows masking other elemental strikes, creating unpredictable assaults. He also manipulates wind-based Divine Power defensively as a shield. His signature technique, the Frozen Wave of Divine Blue (Tengeki of Ice Shockwave), fires a concentrated ice beam capable of freezing targets solid.

Serving as the team's primary strategist, Kissu excels at rapidly analyzing enemy tactics and devising countermeasures. His intellectual prowess contrasts sharply with recurring insecurities about his contribution compared to teammates, though he demonstrates resilience by confronting his fears. After the Beet Warriors defeated Grineed, Kissu faced trial by the Buster Association for his past service to a Vandel. Broad Buster Milfa, acknowledging his teammates' loyalty, escorted them to support him. Kissu's relationship with Milfa involves mutual combat pairing and unacknowledged romantic tension.

A significant challenge arises when Sir Baron resurfaces, triggering Kissu's trauma and paralyzing him with terror during an attack. After fleeing again, profound guilt overwhelms him, especially following Poala's near-fatal injury. Encouraged by Gala, he resolves to confront Sir Baron directly, marking a pivotal step in overcoming his fears and committing fully to the team's mission to end the Dark Age. Kissu has not yet manifested a Saiga, though narrative cues suggest its eventual form may align with his water-based ultimate technique.
