Description
Yamigumo Nami serves as a member of the Attacked Mystification Police, a Tokyo special forces unit dedicated to combating supernatural threats. As a Shinto priestess from a long lineage of exorcists, she employs traditional sacred tools like ofuda paper charms and vials of holy water against extra-dimensional entities known as Lucifer Hawks.
Her family owns a Shinto shrine situated 300 meters beneath the earth's surface. She is the younger sister of Yamigumo Nana, daughter of Yamigumo Razan—who initially fought but later allied with the sorcerer Gigelf Liqueur—and granddaughter of Yamigumo Kouhou. As the sole inheritor of her family's legacy, she alone can wield powerful enchanted artifacts, most notably the Kirin Dagger.
Physically, she is a young Japanese woman standing 159 cm tall, with distinctive purple eyes and purple hair that initially reaches her waist but is later cut to shoulder length during a purification ceremony. True to her religious calling, she consistently wears an enchanted white kimono or traditional Shinto priestess robes adorned with protective kanji instead of the standard AMP uniform.
Her abilities are mystical and ceremonial. She utilizes ofuda to burn supernatural creatures, create stationary spiritual barriers, or act as markers for clairsentience. Her holy water inflicts continuous, acid-like damage upon contact with entities. She also possesses a Detect ability, a form of Mystical Aura Sense that identifies nearby Lucifer Hawks.
She wields two significant artifacts: the Dagger of the Kirin, which can summon a kirin spirit as a searing flash of energy and fire or erect a defensive shield, and later acquires the Sword of the White Tiger, a long-bladed weapon renowned for its exceptional cutting capability.
Her personality is shy, reserved, and tranquil, with a tendency to keep emotions concealed. A pronounced cleanliness compulsion leads her to constantly clean her desk and maintain multiple spare robes. This phobia also manifests as a strong dislike for insects and small crawling creatures.
