He directly supervises miners Kinji Ninomiya and Wanibe, managing their demonite crystal extraction. Frustrated by Kinji's laziness and poor work ethic, which drags down the team's productivity evaluation, Goblin Boss constantly criticizes him. He insists employees must finish tasks correctly, even if it means pushing their bodies to the absolute limit.

When Kinji volunteers for the perilous prospecting tour—exploring deeper dungeon levels with stronger monsters for richer resources—Goblin Boss initially sees this as a positive shift in Kinji's attitude. He expresses genuine enthusiasm, believing Kinji has finally embraced diligent work, reflecting his expectation that employees prioritize the company's objectives. Goblin Boss remains unaware that Kinji's true motive is personal gain, exploiting the dungeon to eventually found the rival Dungeon Black Company.
