Garuda Aiacos stands as one of the Three Judges of Hell within Hades' army, holding the celestial title of the Valiance Star. His authority ranks among the highest of the Specters, commanding formidable power through mastery of the cosmic energy known as Cosmo. He wears the Garuda Surplice, inspired by the mythical king of birds from Hindu lore, serving as both armor and symbol of his status. Aiacos originates from Greek mythology as the son of Zeus and the mortal Aegina. After his mortal life, he became a judge in the Underworld, specifically adjudicating souls from the western regions. This heritage directly informs his role and authority within Hades' forces. His lineage includes notable heroes, including his grandson Achilles. In combat, Aiacos employs specialized techniques: * **Garuda Flap**: Propels opponents skyward with wind gusts before marking a target zone; victims crash down after a three-second count, often onto the marked "X". * **Galactica Illusion**: An amplified Garuda Flap generating demonic eye illusions and cosmic storms to disorient and damage foes. * **Galactica Death Bring**: Channels Cosmo through his Surplice's eye mask to immobilize targets and incinerate their nervous systems internally. * **Surendrajit**: Sacrifices one of his loyal skeletons, transforming its soul into a barrage of flaming feathers. His narrative intensifies during the invasion of Sanctuary. He deploys Garuda Flap against Bronze Saints repairing the Ship of Hope and confronts the Gold Saint Sagittarius Sisyphus. During their battle, he combines Galactica Death Bring and Garuda Flap. Sisyphus survives and shatters Aiacos' Surplice with an Eighth Sense-powered counterattack. Aiacos endures this apparent defeat. A pivotal moment occurs when Hades manipulates the corpse of his subordinate, Behemoth Violate, to punish him. Aiacos accepts this fate without resistance, revealing their bond of loyalty. After Violate halts her attack, he buries her and accepts judgment from Bennu Kagaho. This act obliterates his Surplice, severs his connection to the Specters, and reverts him to his human identity—Suikyo. Later, alongside fellow Judges Minos and Rhadamanthys, he intercepts the battle between Wyvern Rhadamanthys and Gemini Kanon. He attacks Kanon with Galactica Illusion, enabling Minos' finishing move. When Phoenix Ikki arrives, Aiacos engages him directly. After two Garuda Flaps fail, he escalates to Galactica Illusion. Ikki survives, counters the technique, and traps Aiacos in an illusionary hellscape via Phoenix Genma Ken. Though breaking free, Aiacos is ultimately destroyed by Ikki's Hou Yoku Ten Sho. Trivia notes: His hair partially obscures his face, a trait shared with Judge Minos. He is the last of the Three Judges introduced but the first defeated. His name means "earthborn one," reflecting his elemental affinity for earth and fire (supplemented by air shared among the Judges). Though competitive with his fellow Judges, they maintain mutual respect. His celestial title draws inspiration from Lin Chong, the "Panther Head" from the *Water Margin* epic.
