Description
Hailing from the northern Neverland World's Kingdom of Fredbarn, Erile serves as a knight-in-training under the command of Refier, head of the knights. He nurtures a secret romance with Princess Rozy, and the pair plan to marry despite their differing stations. Their relationship draws opposition when Refier discovers it. Confronting Erile, Refier asserts he lacks the strength and experience to protect Rozy or the kingdom, specifically challenging his capability to shoulder kingship. This confrontation deeply frustrates Erile, seeding doubt about his own abilities and worth.
Facing Refier's criticisms and the weight of perceived inadequacies, Erile grapples with significant internal conflict. His stated intention to "learn alongside Rozy" is dismissed as insufficient justification for potential kingship. This culminates during an attack on Fredbarn by an invading army. Amidst the chaos of battle, Erile confronts his limitations, concluding he is unworthy of Rozy. He informs her their relationship cannot continue, abandons his post, and flees the kingdom entirely. His departure represents running from his problems and seeking a stronger reason to fight elsewhere.
In the crossover fighting game *Spectral vs Generation*, Erile appears as a Human playable character motivated "to bring an end to chaos." He wields the Devil God Sword Ralf + Flandis. His preferences include "an ordinary life," while he dislikes "unbearable pressure." His gameplay emphasizes close to mid-range pressure, utilizing a unique entity called his "Stand" for special attacks like "Soul Bash" and "Soul Rush," summoning it for rushdown strikes or powerful single hits. He features deceptively large and fast normals, high speed due to a small character model, and strong corner pressure enabled by his Stand. Weaknesses include average combo damage scaling, poor defensive options without meter, and a high reliance on meter for effective offense, defense, and supers like the "Kaiser Execution" tandem super – underscored by the note that "meter IS my Stand."
