Description
The Overfiend, known as the Chōjin, arises every 3,000 years per ancient prophecy to forcibly unify three coexisting realms: the human world (Ningenkai), the demon world (Makai), and the man-beast world (Jūjinkai). This unification demands the annihilation of existing worlds to forge an eternal new realm. Interpretations of the prophecy diverge—some factions anticipate harmonious merging, while others foresee apocalyptic obliteration.

Human Tatsuo Nagumo acts as the vessel for the Overfiend’s rebirth. Initially mistaken as the Chōjin incarnate, Nagumo is later exposed as the true Overfiend’s father. His metamorphosis into the "Demon of Destruction" unleashes calamities, including rampant mutations and Tokyo’s devastation, clearing the path for his offspring—the actual Chōjin—to emerge. Nagumo’s body mutates into a grotesque, multi-limbed monstrosity with three distinct sex organs, capable of leveling cities.

The genuine Overfiend is Nagumo’s unborn child, conceived with girlfriend Akemi Ito. Shielded by the Chōjin’s power during pregnancy, Akemi achieves near-invulnerability, impervious to all threats except the Kyō-Ō (Lord of Chaos), the Overfiend’s antithesis. The child’s birth fulfills the prophecy, ushering the worlds into a new era.

Throughout sequels and spin-offs, the matured Offspring governs the unified realms. Its rule is contested by the Kyō-Ō, an entity coalesced from congealed demon blood and human sacrifice, embodying chaos and destruction opposed to the Chōjin’s order. Their conflict intensifies in later installments like *Urotsukidōji: Inferno Road*, where the Offspring’s supremacy reshapes reality.

The Overfiend’s physical manifestations evolve across the saga. Early forms appear embryonic or as mutated humanoids, while later iterations feature colossal, biomechanical designs with tentacles and multiple appendages, enabling visceral destruction and sexualized violence. These shifting forms mirror the entity’s dual purpose as creator and destroyer.
