Description
Thirteen-year-old Akane Kimidori enters as a rebellious Penguin Village Junior High student, initially annoyed when Arale Norimaki becomes her desk partner and follows her after school. Witnessing Arale's strength alongside cousins Taro and Peasuke Soramame shifts her attitude, forging mutual respect and cementing their friendship. Akane emerges as Arale’s closest companion and self-appointed manager, founding the Sukeban Deka Fan Club and charging admission for students to showcase clubs to Arale.
Characterized by her tomboyish rule-breaking streak, Akane orchestrates pranks targeting villagers, especially Senbei Norimaki, whom she deems a bad influence on Arale. Despite poor academics, she demonstrates notable cunning and strategic thinking, devising elaborate plans that deceive Penguin Village residents. Her short temper triggers aggressive outbursts when provoked, and she initially carries liquor to school—a habit fading as the series progresses.
