Description
Peasuke Soramame, younger brother to Taro Soramame, shares close friendships with classmates Arale Norimaki and Akane Kimidori. He remains notably short even as an adult, a trait causing him personal disappointment. His signature animal hat—white in the original series, gray in the 1997 remake—draws criticism from Taro for "cramping his style."

Insecure and sensitive about his height, Peasuke displays a timid demeanor yet often acts as the most reasonable voice among his friends. He idolizes Taro, aspiring to emulate him, and habitually collects autographs from intriguing individuals.

Peasuke debuted when Arale entered Midori Yamabuki’s seventh-grade class. Early encounters include being teased by Arale after school, witnessing her strength, and joining her circle. Key moments involve Senbei Norimaki’s See-Thru Glasses exposing Peasuke and Taro naked, emphasizing their physical contrast due to Taro’s smoking. This prompts Taro’s short-lived vow to quit, later undermined when Peasuke discovers hidden cigarettes. He joins the school baseball team during Arale’s club exploration and learns of his perpetual short stature through Senbei’s Future Camera. He accompanies Senbei and Arale to the prehistoric era, obtaining an egg that hatches into Gatchan.

During the "Monsters’ Night" arc, Peasuke develops feelings for the taller, younger Hiyoko. Their relationship culminates in marriage roughly a decade post-series, producing a child named Poosuke Soramame. Born in Age 732 per Dragon Ball’s timeline, Peasuke departs school for vacation in the manga’s Red Ribbon Army Saga, while the anime places him at Coffee Pot telling Akane he’ll do homework. By Age 759, he is married with his child. He temporarily dies during both Majin Buu’s conflict and Frieza’s Earth destruction, reversed each time. Dragon Ball Super depicts him during Arale’s Coffee Pot crash, retaining a youthful look at approximately 49.

Beyond the core series, Peasuke appears in Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission at a Satan Mall tournament, sporting his 1997 design. Actor Kengo Kora portrays him in a live-action Dr. Slump GU clothing ad, standing with Akane and Taro as Arale models. The 1997 remake shows his rejected attempt to ride Flying Nimbus during Goku’s visit.
