Megumi Urawa is a Japanese voice actress born on November 30, 1965, in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent management firm Aoni Production. Urawa is a graduate of the Aoni Juku training school, having completed the 6th term of its Tokyo branch.
Urawa began her career in 1987, with her debut role being the Cat Cheerleader in the series Bikkuriman. Throughout her career, she has become known for her energetic and versatile vocal style, frequently playing young boy characters and lively supporting roles.
Her filmography includes numerous prominent anime series. In the Digimon franchise, she is well-known for her role as Iori Hida and his partner Armadimon, appearing in Digimon Adventure 02 and later films such as Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna and Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning. She also voiced the character in Digimon Adventure -Beyond-. In One Piece, she was the first voice actor for the character Roronoa Zoro as a child.
Other significant television roles include Makoto Kurita in Jigoku Sensei Nube, Peasuke Soramame in Dr. Slump, Korekiyo Ryōguchiya in Magical Taruruuto-kun, Erasa and later Oob in Dragon Ball Z, Yōtarō Rindō in World Trigger, and various characters in the long-running series Chibi Maruko-chan. In the Kinnikuman Nisei film Muscle Ninjin Sōdatsu! Chōjin Daisensō, she voiced Arenanda.
