Description
Mit-sah, an Inuit boy living with his father Grey Beaver in the Alaskan wilderness, encounters the wolf-dog White Fang and his mother Kiche in the wild. Long desiring a companion animal, Mit-sah adopts White Fang into his family.

Life in the harsh environment demands constant effort from Mit-sah and his new companion. Mit-sah trains White Fang for sled work among other dogs, navigating physical survival challenges and facing the difficult realities of human nature, including greed and cruelty within their community.

A notable event occurs when village boys, seeking retaliation after White Fang defended himself against their dogs, turn their aggression on Mit-sah. White Fang intervenes, shielding the boy from harm. This act of loyalty deepens the connection between them, forging a mutual reliance vital for enduring their circumstances.

Mit-sah's journey with White Fang centers on their shared struggle against the brutal elements and complex social dynamics of their world. Their relationship evolves through cooperative survival, confronting the extreme cold and environmental hardships together.
