Dejiko, alias Di Gi Charat, originates as Princess Chocola from Planet Di Gi Charat despite her aversion to chocolate. As the daughter of the planet's rulers and older sister to Petit Charat (Puchiko), she fled to Earth with Puchiko and guardian Gema after the Analogue King and Queen attacked their home world and kidnapped her parents. Financial struggles upon arrival ended when a Gamers store manager offered lodging in exchange for work, establishing her role as the retail chain's mascot. Her core personality merges a cute exterior with volatile temperament. She displays laziness, stubbornness, and a quick temper, frequently unleashing her signature eye-beam attack on perceived annoyances—a trait noted since infancy. Self-centered tendencies include ignoring crises unless personally motivated and showing disrespect even toward fans. Yet she demonstrates genuine care for Puchiko, undertaking protective actions like traveling to America to find her. Moments of remorse occur, such as regretting an attempt to harm rival Rabi~en~Rose with an explosive cake. Her speech consistently ends with the verbal tic "-nyo," reflecting her catgirl motif. Visually, she appears as a short catgirl with green hair and eyes, typically adorned in a blue maid-style dress featuring bells, ribbons, cat-ear headgear, paw-like gloves, boots, and a tail. Alternate designs include a pink dress in *Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat*, normal adult clothing in *Winter Garden*, and a 2008 redesign with red eyes and a lighter blue dress. Character evolution varies across media. *Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat* reimagines her as a younger, altruistic child focused on spreading happiness, though retaining some stubbornness. Conversely, *Winter Garden* portrays her at age 20 as a mature, gentle adult working in a maid café, devoid of prior aggression. This version shows responsibility toward her 15-year-old sister Puchiko and navigates a romantic relationship with Takurou Senba. The *Flower Viewing Special* highlights her typical traits: annoyance at rivals like Piyoko and the Black Gema Gema Gang, retaliating when they invade her living space, and responding ungratefully to Rabi~en~Rose's aid during an illness despite the latter risking her life to find a cure. Her sole documented ability remains her destructive eye beams, fueled by anger. No new abilities or development appear in the *Flower Viewing Special* beyond her established traits and conflicts.
