Description
Aramis, operating under the alias Leopoldo, is a high-ranking commander in the Machine Empire, initially reporting directly to the Machine Emperor. Her primary duty involves overseeing the development and manufacturing of B'ts, mechanical AI creatures, with a specific focus on the advanced and unstable Raphael, cementing her role in the Empire's scientific and military structure. Her loyalty is complicated by aiding the escape of Karen, a former high-ranking officer, which led to her demotion.

Before the rise of the Four Spirit Generals and the series' events, Aramis held the legendary title of "Rose Knight," renowned throughout the Empire for her exceptional combat skills. Her reputation from this era is significant, though specific legendary feats remain undefined. Her background includes a notable encounter with Ron, one of the Four Spirit Generals; during their youth, Aramis defeated Ron in combat, leaving a distinctive lightning bolt-shaped scar on his chest. Her name derives from Alexandre Dumas' *The Three Musketeers*, and her androgynous presentation may draw inspiration from anime adaptations where that character was portrayed as a woman disguised as a man. In the English-language version, she speaks with an English accent.

Acting under Empire orders, Aramis directly orchestrates the abduction of Kotaro Takamiya during a robotics convention in China. Her objective is to exploit Kotaro's AI expertise to control or halt Raphael's uncontrollable evolution, highlighting her position within the command structure and critical projects.

Witnessing Raphael's destructive potential and the Empire's increasingly ruthless actions fosters significant internal conflict and doubt regarding her allegiance. This culminates in a confrontation with Juggler, a high-ranking Empire enforcer. During this battle, Aramis demonstrates considerable combat prowess, effectively challenging Juggler and showcasing her capabilities as the former Rose Knight. Her opposition signals a definitive shift against the Empire's authority. Motivated by growing disillusionment, she attempts to defect but is captured shortly after the fight with Juggler. Following her capture, she largely disappears from the narrative until a brief reappearance later in the conflict. She does not participate in the final battle against Raphael.
