Description
Tsutako Takeshima is a student in Yumi Fukuzawa's class at Lillian Girls' Academy and the Photography Club's ace. Her camera, an essential part of her identity, is her constant companion. She captures pivotal school moments, including Yumi and Sachiko Ogasawara's first meeting. Tsutako later leverages this photo to facilitate their relationship, agreeing to give it to Yumi only with Sachiko's permission for display.

She adheres to strict ethical standards in her photography, refusing to supply images to the school newspaper without considering potential consequences or securing explicit subject permission. Her photographs subtly shape interpersonal dynamics; a candid image of Shimako Tōdō smiling beside Noriko leads her to observe Noriko's illuminating effect on Shimako, indirectly encouraging Shimako to consider Noriko as her petite sœur.

Tsutako consistently offers Yumi emotional support, particularly concerning Yumi's admiration for Sachiko and Valentine's Day anxieties. She perceptively identifies relationship nuances within the Yamayuri Council, quickly discerning that Yumi's sighs stem from worries about Sachiko potentially dating others. Her support extends beyond photography when she actively helps Yumi join the student council as a helper.

She collaborates with the school newspaper club, notably gathering information to secretly photograph Shimako and Shizuka during their date, providing visual evidence for reports. Dedication sometimes causes her to miss shots, like arriving late to capture Chisato Tanuma on a date with Rei Hasekura. Later, she partners with Mami, who writes headlines while Tsutako supplies photographs.

During the Lady Roses' graduation ceremony, she documents the event for archival purposes. Her images continue to spark reflection; viewing a photo of Sachiko and Yumi, she deduces the nature of their relationship, speculating their bond resembles soeurs.

In the live-action film adaptation, Tsutako's involvement in the Cinderella play storyline, including her photograph of Sachiko adjusting Yumi's neckerchief and her negotiations for its display, remains consistent with her portrayal in the original light novels. Across all media, she is defined by her photographic passion, observational acuity, loyalty to Yumi, and ethical approach to capturing school life.
