Cherrypai, alias of pop idol Sanae Makieda, competes for the legendary Pai. Secretly a witch from another world, she seeks the Pai tiles to fulfill her wish of returning home. She wields magic during confrontations with rival competitors and the monstrous manifestations of the Pai tiles. Her battles pit her against opponents including a bunny-shaped alien, a dominatrix, a cyborg, and a schoolgirl superhero, all vying to collect the tiles. Her story remains focused solely on this pursuit within the OVA.
