Description
Twelve-year-old Koushi Nagumo’s life unravels when a house fire leaves him homeless and abandoned by his father. Penniless and alone, he collapses from exhaustion on the streets until university student Mineru Wachi rescues him and brings him to a women’s dormitory. Though hesitant to become the dorm’s caretaker due to resident Atena Saotome’s fear of men, Koushi accepts the position when guilt over his selfless refusal softens her stance.

Tasked with managing chores and navigating the residents’ quirks, Koushi demonstrates maturity beyond his years, prioritizing their welfare above all. He maintains composure amid provocative mishaps, though the girls’ presence gradually stirs his awareness of adulthood. His innate empathy drives him to counsel insecurities, shield residents from criticism, and sacrifice his own needs for their sake.

Parental abandonment leaves deep scars, making him avoid romantic entanglements to protect his fragile sense of family. This trauma surfaces violently during a mental breakdown triggered by a duel with Frey, where flames and his father’s betrayal haunt him. Relationships evolve unpredictably: Atena’s distrust melts into tentative affection, while Kiriya Sensho’s bold confession meets gentle rejection due to his unresolved feelings. Childhood friend Sutea Kouroya masks her longing with explosive tsundere outbursts, followed by immediate remorse.

Defining moments test his resolve: delivering lunches in disguise, risking drowning to save Sutea despite lacking swimming skills, and enduring a drugged mob frenzy caused by Mineru’s reckless experiment. A pivotal apology from his father mends their fractured bond, allowing them to rebuild a life together. Through these trials, Koushi grows assertive in setting boundaries while remaining the dorm’s emotional anchor.

His name echoes obedience and combativeness—traits manifesting in resilient loyalty and quiet strength. Balancing slapstick disasters with poignant growth, Koushi navigates chaotic coexistence with older women, confronting past wounds while forging new connections that redefine home.
