TV-Series
Description
Tōru Takase captains the Shiro High School men's rhythmic gymnastics team in his third year. Hailing from Aomori Prefecture, his family background involves a conflict between his tuna fisherman father and his maternal grandfather, a generational apple farmer.

Takase possesses a larger build than others, with sharp, intimidating features, upturned eyes, and distinctive eyebrows that fork into two tails at the arch. His short, dark red hair is usually pushed back. He wears the team's purple-and-white tracksuit zipped to the collar. For practice, he dons a dark gray t-shirt featuring a white lowercase "b" on the left chest, paired with red shorts.

His personality is strong, stubborn, and serious, often appearing intimidating. This demeanor masks an immaturity evident in his condescending attitude and frequent verbal jabs aimed at Ao High School's gymnastics team, particularly its captain, Masamune Shichigahama. This rivalry is mutual, with Shichigahama labeling Takase a "gorilla."

Despite this interpersonal behavior, Takase demonstrates deep commitment to gymnastics. He acknowledges Ao High's capabilities as worthy competitors, revealing a layer of maturity beneath his competitive spirit.

Takase continues his role as team captain in the anime film sequel, leading Shiro High's rhythmic gymnastics efforts.
