Katsuyuki Konishi is a veteran Japanese voice actor known for his powerful and versatile vocal range, capable of portraying both intense, passionate heroes and calm, collected figures. Born on April 21, 1973, in Wakayama Prefecture, he graduated from the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy as part of its 11th generation and has been affiliated with the agency Ken Production for the majority of his career. He is also the vice-chairman of the theatre company Hero Hero Q, led by fellow voice actor Tomokazu Seki. Konishi made his debut in 1997 with a role in the anime The King of Braves GaoGaiGar.

Konishi's career is marked by a wide array of iconic roles across numerous popular anime series. He gained widespread recognition for his performance as the passionate and inspiring Kamina in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, a role he considers a favorite. He is also well-known for voicing Laxus Dreyar in Fairy Tail, the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and the dual roles of Keigo Asano and Shuhei Hisagi in Bleach. His repertoire includes villainous characters as well, such as Diavolo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind and the mysterious Kaburagi in Deca-Dence. He has also taken on leading roles in series like Shaman King as Amidamaru and Beelzebub as Tatsumi Oga.

His talent has been recognized with the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 9th Annual Seiyu Awards in 2015. Beyond his main roles, he has been a consistent presence in the Pokémon anime for many years, voicing numerous Pokémon belonging to Satoshi (Ash) and Takeshi (Brock), including Satoshi's Heracros, Kabigon (Snorlax), and Takeshi's Gregguru (Croagunk). In the world of video games, he is the voice of Lloyd Irving in the Tales of Symphonia series and Boothill in the popular game Honkai: Star Rail.

Throughout his long career, Konishi has developed strong professional relationships with several other voice actors. He shares a long friendship with Masaya Onosaka, with whom he co-hosted a radio program and frequently collaborates on the Tales of franchise events. He also holds his senior,森川智之 (Toshiyuki Morikawa), in high regard as a mentor and is close friends with Daisuke Hirakawa, a classmate from his voice actor training days.
