Description
Alfred F. Jones is the personification of the United States of America. Discovered as an infant in the New World, he was raised by England, creating a brotherly bond that fractured during the American Revolution but later evolved into a complex, bickering yet caring relationship. He has a younger brother, Canada, whom he frequently overshadows or forgets, leading to tension. America appears as a young man with blonde hair, blue eyes, a cowlick symbolizing Nantucket Island, and glasses representing Texas. He typically wears a tan uniform and a brown bomber jacket, sometimes marked with a "50" for the fifty states, and stands 177 centimeters tall with a lean, muscular physique. His personality is energetic, cheerful, and self-confident, obsessed with heroes, justice, and freedom. He often interferes in others’ affairs and struggles to read social situations, yet demonstrates logical thinking and strategic awareness during serious moments. He loves hamburgers, junk food, and oversized drinks, and owns cars such as a Mustang and a DeLorean. He possesses superhuman strength, shown by feats like swinging a buffalo or stopping a car with his foot. His fears include ghosts, weighing scales, and Marmite. He befriends an alien named Tony but cannot perceive magical beings except on Halloween. A significant part of his backstory involves a childhood human friend named Davie, who aged and died while America remained immortal, forcing him to confront the loneliness of his eternity. During the Pict alien invasion in Paint it, White!, he proclaims himself leader of the Allied Forces, creates a Vegas-style casino for a cultural showcase, and is transformed into a Pictonian before being reverted. He maintains a friendly rapport with Tony, dismisses England’s magical entities, and has a rivalry with Russia, hostility with Cuba, and a sibling-like dynamic with France.
